Unlike Biotin-Fluorescein, whose absorbance and emission is strongly pH dependent, optical properties of Cy5-Biotin is completely pH independent
Reproducibility – absorbance and emission spectra of Biotin-Cy5 are pH independent
Solubility – reagent easily dissolve in aqueous buffers
Extended PEG3 Spacer – reduces aggregation, minimizes steric hindrance for affinity-binding to avidin or streptavidin
