The thrust ballbearings consist of a row of balls(with cages),shaft ring (close fit with shaft) and housing ring (loose fit with shaft and close fit with housing). They can only carry axial load in one direction ,and are not able to carry radial loads,because the axial loads are well-distributed on each ball,the load carring capacity is higher,but their limiting speed is lower.
The thrust ball bearings can’t limit the radial displacement of shafts or housings,but are capable of limiting axial displacement of shaft and housing in one direction.Therefore,this type of bearings is usually used together with deep groove ball bearings.
While mounting,the center line of shaft and housing must keep alignment,otherwise the stress concentration will cause bearing to fail in early period.In order
